Insurance Policies
Each rental contract with us requires you to maintain insurance
covering our equipment for full replacement value. We also require you
to provide us with an insurance certificate detailing that coverage.
Please know that on rentals of over $500 worth of equipment, we now
will be requiring these certificates prior to releasing equipment to
you.
Your insurance certificate needs to include the following information and indicate
coverage for the complete term of the rental;
- a minimum General Liability coverage amount of $1,000,000
- Stageworks Lighting, Ltd. should be listed as "Additional Insured" under your
General Liability policy
- indication of an "Inland Marine Floater" or "Theatrical Equipment
Floater" with "All Risk" or "Special Form" to include theft, fire,
water, and vandalism. The limit for the above policy should be
for a minimum of $100,000 or higher to cover all of the equipment on
any particular job site. Tthe policy should cover "replacement
value" of the equipment, not actual cash value
- the "coverage area" of the policies should be consistant with the area in which your
production(s) takes place
- we must be shown as the "Loss Payee" on the certificate
- your certificate should also show a minimum of $1,000,000 Automobile Liability
insurance
We realize that this may seem overly cautious. We all know that neither you, nor we
intend to cause any damage or injury in any situation. This process is solely to be sure
that we are all protected from unexpected or untoward events.
